Whether you’re thinking about auditioning for the first time, curious about your type, or looking to deepen your overall craft, Monologue Lab with Elaine Lifter will walk you through the steps needed to select and prepare a monologue.
What it’s about:
This workshop focuses on helping you find and develop monologue material that feels personal, compelling, and authentic to YOU. Under the guidance of guest artist New York actor, director and teacher Elaine Lifter, you will select and work on two contrasting monologues while exploring both performance and process—digging into character, circumstance, and emotional truth. You’re also welcome to bring any monologues you’re currently working on.
The emphasis is on building a repeatable, practical approach to monologue work that can be used for auditions and ongoing training.
