If you enjoyed your experience in Introduction to Acting, we’ve got some great news- you’re just getting started! The Acting Core program is the next step in your journey. Tailored for intermediate-level actors, this ongoing program offers the opportunity to put the skills you’ve learned in Introduction to Acting into practice. You'll deepen your foundational skills while continually expanding your repertoire.

What it’s about:

Acting Core is the heart of our program at the Michigan Actors Studio. Designed as an ongoing course, it provides a platform to deepen your confidence, skills, and experience in pursuit of your acting goals. The flexible structure allows students to take breaks as needed while maintaining continuity in their learning journey. With exercises and deep dives on topics designed to make you a more well-rounded actor including challenging monologue and scene work, Acting Core introduces you to more advanced concepts while building on what you’ve already learned. Your studies will be guided by our Lead Instructor, Kate Peckham who is dedicated to the empowerment and development of each student. You will be encouraged in your growth through individualized feedback and guidance that allows you to flourish as an actor.

Note: for optimal development, a prerequisite of at least 3 full sessions of Acting Core is required to enroll in Advanced Classes.
