The Art of the Monologue Two Week Intensive

Who it’s for: Actors who are curious about the process of selecting, and preparing a monologue for audition or performance.

What it’s about: Participants will have the opportunity to work with our guest artist New York stage actress and Michigan native Elaine Lifter on preparing a monologue for performance. These monologues were especially created to be workshopped by acclaimed playwright Neil LaBute.

You’ll walk away with: After you complete this four session course you will have a polished, audition-ready monologue along with a deeper ability to interpret text, build character, and deliver authentic, grounded performances as well as an opportunity to perform your monologue to an invited audience.
