Introduction to Film Acting

• Level: Beginner (all levels)
• Age: MUST BE 18+
• Prerequisites: None (Although some acting experience is recommended)
• Length: 6 weeks
• Formerly "Acting for Film"; New name- same class.

• WINTER 2026: Begins Thursday January 29, 2026, 6:30pm-9pm- Late registration pricing is $400 and begins January 5, 2026

Who it’s for: Any adult interested in the fundamental techniques necessary to act in front of the camera.

What it’s about: In this engaging course taught by studio favorite Emilio Rodriguez, you will learn the basics of on-camera techniques using practical exercises and personalized feedback, and have the opportunity to shoot a commercial that will debut at our next open house all while developing new skills and gaining confidence in front of the camera.

• How to be believable on camera
• Adjusting your acting to different frames
• Shooting a commercial
• And a lot more!

You’ll walk away with: In Introduction to Film Acting you’ll gain an understanding of on-camera terms and techniques, increase your comfort level in front of the camera, and have the opportunity to act on camera and do a final filmed project all while having fun in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
